New Year, new We
Last year made one thing clear, people want consistency, not just one-off moments.
In 2026, we are staying connected beyond single moments
We’re excited to introduce We Outside Memberships, making it easier to stay connected easier without overcommitting or burning out.
Becoming an Outsider means opting into a rhythm. Monthly activities, shared moments, and gentle accountability to get outside more often. It is not about doing everything. It is about having something steady to return to. Memberships also sustain the work behind the scenes, from keeping the shop open as a home base to supporting programming across seasons.
When you join, you are helping We Outside grow in a way that is intentional and community-supported.
We took a step back and really looked at how our time and energy were showing up on the calendar. What worked, what felt rushed, what people kept coming back to. That reflection led to a clearer, more thoughtful flow that makes it easier to plug in without feeling overwhelmed.
The 2026 calendar is built so you can drop in when you need connection, step back when you need rest, and still feel part of the whole. There is no expectation to attend everything or move in one way.
we’re coexisting at the basecamp
Every week Co-Existing Hours anchor the rhythm, with open, low-pressure time in the shop to just be. Bring your laptop, your book, your notebook, or that idea you’ve been turning over in your head. Maybe you’re looking to work quietly, read for a while, or talk through a script, project, or just life with whoever’s nearby.
There’s no agenda and no pressure to be productive. You can tune in or tune out. You can sit in silence or exchange ideas. The point is having a place where you don’t have to choose between being alone or being “on.” It’s shared space, shared time and the comfort of being around others while you move at your own pace.
January also reflects something we learned clearly last year. When young people are given space that feels real, supportive, and rooted in care, they show up.
We are clearing a path for the next generation of outsiders
2025 also showed us that when young people are given space that feels real, supportive, and rooted in care, they show up.
Our BLOOM and ROOTED workshops created moments of connection, reflection, and honesty. They affirmed the need for youth spaces that do not ask teens to perform or have everything figured out.
This year, we are launching We Outside: Next Gen, a space for teens to gather, connect, and learn alongside their community. The focus is on being outside, building confidence, and creating room for conversation, movement, and shared experience, with elders and mentors invited in to share stories, listen deeply, and walk alongside the next generation.
This work happens through the We Outside Foundation and relies on community support to grow with care. Donations directly support youth programming and help us continue creating spaces where teens feel supported and connected.
