The Year We Grow
A community-centered vision board session where we slow down, create, and imagine the year we want to grow.
We Outside: Creative opens the year with a calm, intentional space to think about what we want to grow in our lives. This is not about resolutions or pressure. We slow down, look ahead, and create from a place that feels honest.

We Outside: Land School
Land School is our ongoing monthly series where we slow down and learn about the land in a way that feels real, approachable, and connected to everyday life. This is not a lecture or a technical training. It is a space to understand how soil, food, plants, and community shape the way we live, grow, and move through the seasons. No experience needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to learn.

MLK Snow Day
One of the highlights of January is MLK Snow Day, our community snowsports trip at Perfect North. This is a full day of skiing, snowboarding, and tubing built around access, encouragement, and shared joy. Whether it is your first time on the slopes or you have been going for years, the experience is beginner-friendly and community-centered.
This year, we are partnering with Corbeau Snowsports, a Cincinnati-based, historically Black ski and snowsports organization connected to a national network of African American ski clubs. Corbeau members will be on site throughout the day offering beginner friendly guidance and steady encouragement on the slopes.
A portion of each ticket directly supports Corbeau Snowsports youth programming. This is our way of honoring MLK Day through service that lasts, helping ensure the next generation has access to winter sports, skill building, and outdoor spaces that have not always felt welcoming.
Participating helps sustain the broader work We Outside does throughout the year while also directly investing in access and opportunity for the next generation.

Civilian Conservation Corps Black History Nature Walk with Cincinnati Parks
Join us for a stroll through nature as we uncover the hidden stories of the Civilian Conservation Corps with Cincinnati Parks.
Nearly a century ago, America was in the throes of the Depression. Young men all over the country participated in what became the first national employment movement in conservation - the Civilian Conservation Corps. Here in Cincinnati, there is a little-known story of a camp right in our own backyard. One of the few African-American camps in Ohio, the work the Mt Airy CCC did to forge barren land into a premier city park is evident in the craftsmanship and legacy that lives on in our trails and picnic areas. We'll talk about the history of the city and Parks that led up to making Mt Airy what it is today. We'll view some artifacts and photos and end with a short hike viewing some of the structures they built.
