Eco Craft | DIY Paper cutout portraits
Join us every other Thursday for a guided eco-crafting session led by Kennedy Brown. This is a space to slow down and use the craft as a vessel for your own story.
You will be guided through the process of creating a cutout paper portrait, using texture and shape to play with different layers and colors. The session includes a curated journal prompt to help you stay present and grounded while you create. This isn't about artistic perfection—it’s just a fun, low-pressure craft to help you see yourself and your style in a new way.

Blerd Clerb: Biomimicry as Resistance, Part 3
Session 3- Community | Networks
Nature is the ultimate blueprint for liberation. This month, Blerd Clerb presents a 4-part series exploring Biomimicry—the practice of looking to nature for solutions to human problems. We’ll discuss how natural systems can teach us about advocacy, community, and survival.
This session dives deep into the "Wood Wide Web"—the underground fungal networks that allow entire forests to communicate and share resources without a central command. We will watch the acclaimed film "Fantastic Fungi" to learn how these decentralized networks sustain life. Our discussion will focus on how we can build similar, resilient community networks that provide mutual aid and "communication without command".

Elders in the Chat: Quilt & Learn, session 3
We are holding space for the voices that carry our history. Elders in the Chat is an intergenerational circle designed to put our community Elders on a pedestal, offering a sacred time for younger generations to listen and engage in dialogue with those who have walked the path before us.
This 3-part series is hosted by Iya Het-Heru, sharing her sewing craft through quilting. While we work with our hands, the quilting is secondary—a steady rhythm that allows for grounded, natural conversation and the passing down of community wisdom. No previous skill is necessary; come for the connection, stay for the stories.

Session 4- Transformation | Liberation
Nature is the ultimate blueprint for liberation. This month, Blerd Clerb presents a 4-part series exploring Biomimicry—the practice of looking to nature for solutions to human problems. We’ll discuss how natural systems can teach us about advocacy, community, and survival.
In our final session, we explore Transformation as the catalyst for true liberation. Nature shows us through the cycle of the butterfly that change isn't just necessary—it's life-sustaining. We will screen the film "Gather," which documents the growing movement among Native Americans to reclaim their spiritual, political, and cultural identities through food sovereignty. We'll close the series by discussing how we can transform our own systems to achieve collective freedom.

Session 2- Perseverance | Growth Under Constraint
Nature is the ultimate blueprint for liberation. This month, Blerd Clerb presents a 4-part series exploring Biomimicry—the practice of looking to nature for solutions to human problems. We’ll discuss how natural systems can teach us about advocacy, community, and survival.
Session two focuses on Perseverance. In nature, life doesn't stop when it hits a barrier; it adapts, bends, and finds a way to flourish even under heavy constraint. Featuring the film "Reimagining the Relationship of African Americans to the Great Outdoors," we will explore the history of Black joy and resilience in nature, discussing strategies for taking up space and thriving despite systemic pressures.

We Cuff’n Flowers: A Guided Floral Experience
FLOWERS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MORE THAN A GESTURE. THEY’RE CARE. THEY’RE INTENTION. THEY’RE A WAY OF SAYING SOMETHING WHEN WORDS FALL SHORT.
We Cuff’n Flowers was a hands-on floral workshop designed for connection, creativity, and conversation. Whether solo or with a partner, this experience invited you to slow down, take up space, and create something beautiful with your hands.
Led by BLOOMS by Lo, guests learned the fundamentals of bouquet building while crafting a premium six stem arrangement. Choosing between deep red roses or tulips and layer them with curated fillers like eucalyptus and baby’s breath, learning balance, flow, and care along the way. The experience closed with a signature Cuff’d Card moment, a pause to write something reflective, affirming, or future facing.
Hidden Legacies: A GUIDED NATURE WALK & HISTORICAL PRESENTATION
THE BLACK HISTORY OF THE CCC AT MT. AIRY FOREST
Nearly a century ago, amidst the Great Depression, thousands of young men joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC)—the nation’s first major conservation movement. While the CCC’s impact is felt nationwide, Cincinnati holds a unique piece of that history: Camp Mt. Airy.
As one of the few African-American CCC camps in Ohio, these men transformed barren, eroded land into what is now Cincinnati’s premier city park. Their craftsmanship and legacy are still visible today in the trails we walk and the stone structures where we gather.
